Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Whitehall seeking First Article Inspectors who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive first article inspections (FAI) of components and assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring tools and equipment, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators, to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Document inspection results thoroughly and accurately, completing AS9102 forms and other required quality records.
• Identify and document non-conformances, initiating corrective action requests and collaborating with engineering and production to resolve issues.
• Interpret complex blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T to ensure complete and accurate inspection coverage.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to calibration schedules.
• Provide feedback to manufacturing and engineering on potential design or process improvements identified during inspection.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to first article inspection processes and quality control.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (GD&T).
• Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM).
• Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102/PPAP requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately and clearly.
