Service Desk SpecialistDuration: 4-month contract – short term placementWork Type: 5 days a week onsite – Renton, Washington. 98057Position OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced Service Desk Technician to provide onsite IT support coverage for a temporary leave of absence. This individual will serve as the primary IT support resource at the Renton, WA location and must be able to operate independently with minimal onboarding and training. The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional who can quickly step into the environment, resolve common technical issues, support end users, and escalate complex incidents when necessary.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite desktop and technical support to end usersTroubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issuesPerform device deployments, workstation setups, and hardware onboardingSupport Microsoft 365 applications and user accountsAssist users with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) issuesTroubleshoot mobile devices, including iPhones, Android devices, and iPadsManage Active Directory user account support and basic administrationDiagnose and resolve common desktop support issues independentlyEscalate unresolved issues to the appropriate IT teamsDocument incidents, requests, and resolutions within the ticketing systemDeliver strong customer service while supporting local business operationsRequired Qualifications3+ years of Service Desk, Desktop Support, or End User Support experienceStrong troubleshooting skills across Windows devices and common IT issuesExperience with:Active DirectoryMicrosoft 365Hardware deployments and device setupMFA supportMobile device troubleshootingDesktop and laptop supportAbility to work independently with limited supervisionExcellent communication and customer service skillsProven ability to prioritize and manage support requests effectivelyPreferred QualificationsExperience using ServiceNowPrevious experience serving as the sole onsite IT support resourceExperience working in a corporate enterprise environmentWhat Will Make Someone SuccessfulAble to hit the ground running with minimal trainingConfident handling day-to-day technical support issues independentlyStrong end-user support and customer service mindsetComfortable escalating issues outside of their support scopeReliable, self-directed, and adaptable in a fast-paced environmentTeam EnvironmentThis technician will be the primary onsite IT support resource for the Renton location while remaining connected to a broader Service Desk organization for escalation and collaboration. Because this is a temporary backfill assignment, the team is seeking an experienced professional who can quickly become productive with limited ramp-up time.
