Field Diesel/Shop Technician

A manufacturing facility in York, SC is looking for a Field Diesel Technician looking to interview candidates ASAP. This role is fast paced and demanding. This company is growing quickly and willing to train for upward progression. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. This role will operate off the 1st shift schedule Monday-Thursday. 5-10 years of Diesel Technician experience required! Travel and on-call availability is required as well.

salary: $72,800 - $83,200 per year

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on diesel engines, fuel systems, and electrical components.

• Hydraulic Systems: Maintain and repair complex hydraulic circuits, cylinders, and valves—specifically those integrated into crane and aerial lift assemblies.

• Field Service & Travel: Travel to client sites to perform on-site repairs. This role requires flexibility for overnight travel and a willingness to work in various weather conditions.

• On-Call Availability: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide emergency support for critical equipment failures.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA and manufacturer safety standards, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of lifting equipment.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week

Skills

• Diesel Technician Experience (7 years of experience is preferred)
• Bucket Truck Diesel Experience (7 years of experience is preferred)
• Electronic Maintenance (7 years of experience is preferred)
• Mechanical Maintenance (7 years of experience is preferred)
• Blueprints (7 years of experience is preferred)
• On-call Availability (6 years of experience is preferred)
• Field Service Tech experience (6 years of experience is preferred)
• Hydraulic System Repair (6 years of experience is preferred)
