Summary

The Local QC Lab Subject Matter Expert (SME) Data Load / LIMS Master Data Specialist is responsible for the accurate setup, cleansing, validation, and loading of QC laboratory master data into the global Laboratory Information Management System (gLIMS) in accordance with global data standards and guidelines. The role manages key master data, including consumables, sampling plans, specifications, parameter lists, test methods, and LES templates, while ensuring data quality, accuracy, consistency, and integrity. The SME will also develop local work instructions and procedures, support ongoing master data management, and collaborate with local teams to establish sustainable LIMS data management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform local QC laboratory master data setup and loading in alignment with global standards and guidelines.
• Build, maintain, and input master data into gLIMS, including consumables, sampling plans, specifications, parameter lists, test methods, and LES templates.
• Conduct local data cleansing, review, and validation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
• Develop clear and effective local work instructions and procedures for site-level execution of global processes.
• Support local data management structures and ongoing master data management activities.
• Collaborate with QC laboratory and LIMS teams to establish and maintain sustainable data management processes.
• Support the transition to a permanent role within the local LIMS Office, where applicable.

Required Skills

• Experience with data management, master data setup, data cleansing, validation, and loading.
• Hands-on experience with LIMS or similar laboratory/data management systems.
• Knowledge of QC laboratory operations, processes, and laboratory data requirements.
• Experience with Laboratory Execution Systems (LES) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation, consistency, and integrity principles.
• Ability to develop clear, structured, and user-friendly work instructions and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within global guidelines, standardized processes, and data governance requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with local and global teams.
