Job Description
Medical Assistant - OBGYN

Schedule

8-hour shift between 06:00-18:00; no weekend requirement.

Assignment Details

Floating required as needed to various locations.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Minimum 1 year specifically in an OBGYN clinic.
• Proficiency in venipuncture/blood draws.
• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only).
• Experience with charting in Epic.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and taking vitals.
• Collecting patient histories and performing blood/specimen collection.
• Assisting with OBGYN procedures, including PAP, colposcopy, LEEP, and IUD insertion/removal.
• Providing telephone follow-up and triage.
• Participating in quality assurance and daily huddles.

Compliance / Notes

Local applicants accepted; two supervisory references from within the past year are required at the time of submission.
