Senior Property Accountant
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX | Onsite
Employment Type: Full-Time

A growing commercial real estate organization is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close for a commercial property portfolio.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands property accounting beyond basic transaction processing. You’ll manage portfolio-level financials, identify issues before they become problems, and help maintain accurate, audit-ready reporting.

What You’ll Do:

• Own full-cycle month-end close for assigned properties

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and prepaid amortization

• Complete bank, loan, and intercompany reconciliations

• Maintain depreciation schedules and WIP tracking

• Review the general ledger and perform variance analysis

• Ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and delivered on time

• Partner with asset management and operations to research and resolve discrepancies

What You’ll Bring:

• Yardi experience required

• 3–5+ years of property accounting experience; commercial real estate preferred

• Ability to independently manage month-end close

• Strong understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, and depreciation

• Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and basic analysis

• Experience supporting multiple properties or entities is a plus
