Aboutthejob SafetyatAMIdoesn'thappenfrombehindadesk.Ithappensonthemill,onthepaver,onthegrader—whereverourteamisworking.AsAMIisgrowing,weneedapart-timebootsonthegroundSafetyCoordinator,whoisoutthereeveryday,walkingjobsites,checkinginwithcrews,andmakingsureeveryonegoeshomethesamewaytheyshowedup.Thisroleisbestsuitedforsomeonewho'shands-on,relationship-driven,andcomfortablebeingthepersonwhospeaksupwhensomething'snotright—inawaythatmakescrewswanttolisten,nottuneout. What You'll Own: Beavisible,dailypresenceonactivejobsitesacrossalldivisions. Conductroutinesitesafetyauditsandinspections,andcorrecthazardsonthespotwheneverpossible. Delivertoolboxtalksandsafetytraininginthefield,includingbilingual(English/Spanish)content,sonothinggetslostintranslation. Investigateincidentsandnear-misses,documentfindings,andfollowuponcorrectiveaction. MonitorPPEcompliance,equipmentsafety,andjob-siteconditions,andcoachcrewsinrealtime. MaintainOSHA-compliantrecordsandsupportreporting,certifications,andregulatoryrequirements. Buildgenuinerelationshipswithcrewleadsandforemensosafetyconcernsgetraisedearly,notafterthefact. PartnerwithHRandOperationsononboardingsafetytrainingfornewhiresandongoingcertifications(CPR,firstaid,equipment-specifictraining,etc.). Tracksafetytrendsacrossdivisionsandflagpatternsbeforetheybecomeincidents. ChampionAMI's“PutPeopleFirstAlways”corevalueineverythingsaidanddoneon-site. Performotherdutiesasassigned. What You Bring: Experienceinconstruction,paving,orheavycivilsafetypreferred;OSHA30(orwillingnesstoobtain)required. Bilingual(English/Spanish)stronglypreferred—ourcrewsdeservesafetytraininginthelanguagethey'remostcomfortablein. Comfortablebeingoutdoorsonactivejobsitesdaily,inallweather,acrossmultiplelocations. Anaturalrelationship-builderwhocanwalkontoanycrewandearntrustfast. Direct,clearcommunicatorwhocandeliverhardfeedbackwithoutlosingtheroom. Sharpeyeforhazardsandagenuinecommitmenttogettingpeoplehomesafe. Self-starterwhocanmanageamulti-sitescheduleindependentlyandknowwhentoescalate.
