Staff Accountant

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing financial data and account information Completes month‑end close duties including preparation of journal entries, accruals, intercompany reconciliations, and reconciliation of multiple cash accounts Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions; resolves discrepancies Prepares revenue and expense variance reporting, analysis, and explanation Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigates discrepancies to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records Assists with annual and quarterly forecasts and budgeting processes as needed Assists with periodic and year‑end audit requests Other duties deemed necessary by management

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions Ability to lift up to 15 pounds is regularly required for filing and other record‑keeping duties Vision must be sufficient for inputting data into a computer Keyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office‑related injuries

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 2‑4 years of accounting experience required Intermediate software skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF statements, CONCATENATE and graphics capabilities Good organizational skills with attention to detail Must be able to work well with others both within and outside our department Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to successfully complete all pre‑employment testing required by Holland L.P.
