PM Shift Line Cook | Eligible for Kitchen Tip PoolLeucadia Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our team for evening shifts. This position will primarily work at our pasta and sauté station, with cross-training in other areas of the kitchen, including salad preparation, pizza production, and pizza cutting. We specialize in gourmet pizzas, fresh salads, delicious pastas, and savory subs, all made with high-quality ingredients prepared daily in our scratch-made kitchen.We take pride in serving consistently great food and providing excellent service, whether our guests are dining with us, picking up an order, or having their favorites delivered.About the RoleAs a Line Cook, you'll be an important part of our Back of House team, preparing high-quality menu items to established recipes, portion sizes, presentation standards, and food safety requirements.You'll help keep the kitchen organized, clean, stocked, and ready for service while working closely with fellow cooks, Front of House employees, and management to keep orders moving accurately and efficiently.What You'll DoPrepare menu items according to company recipes, portions, cooking procedures, and quality standardsWork primarily on the pasta and sauté station while cross-training on salads, pizza production, pizza cutting, and other kitchen stationsReview orders carefully and accurately follow modifications, substitutions, allergy notices, and special instructionsComplete prep and production duties before and during service to keep your station stocked and readyWork quickly and efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining food quality and order accuracyProperly label, date, rotate, cool, store, and discard food products while helping minimize unnecessary wasteFollow food safety, sanitation, allergen, cross-contamination, handwashing, temperature-control, and workplace safety proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation throughout the shiftSafely operate knives, ovens, stovetops, fryers, slicers, mixers, and other kitchen equipment after proper trainingCommunicate with cooks, servers, counter employees, delivery employees, dishwashers, and management regarding order timing, modifications, and product needsSupport other kitchen stations when needed and appropriately trainedAssist with takeout, delivery, catering, and large-volume ordersHelp receive, inspect, organize, and properly store food and restaurant suppliesAssist with dishes, cookware, utensils, food containers, and kitchen equipment when neededComplete assigned opening, shift-change, restocking, cleaning, and closing dutiesPromptly communicate product shortages, equipment problems, food-quality concerns, unsafe conditions, injuries, or other operational issues to managementParticipate in deep cleaning, inventory organization, training, and other restaurant duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForMust be at least 18 years of age or older (required)At least 1 year of cooking experience requiredAt least 1 year of restaurant experience requiredPrevious line cook, sauté, pizza, or food preparation experience strongly preferredAbility to follow recipes, portions, preparation instructions, and food safety proceduresStrong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and order accuracyAbility to work with speed and urgency in a busy restaurant kitchenAbility to stay organized while handling multiple orders and responsibilitiesStrong communication and teamwork skillsDependable attendance, punctuality, and reliable transportationAbility to accept direction, coaching, feedback, and station assignments from managementProfessional and respectful attitude, including during busy or stressful periodsWillingness to assist with cleaning, restocking, dishwashing, and other kitchen responsibilitiesMust obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler CardMust be available to work nights, weekends, and holidaysPay & BenefitsPay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits include:401(k)Employee discountPaid sick timePaid trainingEligibility for kitchen tip poolReady to Join Our Kitchen?If you're an experienced cook who takes pride in quality food, works well with a team, and can keep up in a fast-paced kitchen, we'd like to meet you.Apply today to join the Leucadia Pizzeria team!
