RN - PACU

PACU Registered Nurse

Location: Akron, OH

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with the possibility to stay over if necessary.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will play a critical role in the postoperative care of patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures, including joint procedures, hand surgeries, general surgery, urology, endoscopy, and orthopedic procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth recovery process for patients.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients' vital signs and recover them from anesthesia.
• Assess patients' conditions and provide appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and manage post-operative pain.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care.
• Prepare patients for discharge and ensure they are stable.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 18 months of PACU nursing experience.
• Active Ohio RN license or compact state RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Epic charting experience is preferred.
• Experience with outpatient recovery preferred, particularly with orthopedic procedures.
