Make a difference in the lives of students by serving as a Special Education Teacher in a rewarding, full-time contract role based near Springtown, TX. We’re seeking dedicated professionals ready to start immediately to cover maternity and sick leaves, with flexible end dates—some positions may extend until filled permanently.
There are two primary positions available:
Role A: Work with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders (caseload of 5) in a behavioral support capacity. This role is not fully self-contained and does not involve physically demanding responsibilities—ideal for an experienced educator skilled in behavioral interventions.
Role B: Support K-2nd grade students (caseload of 4) focusing on life skills. Experience with younger students and life skills programming is essential.
Additionally, there is an upcoming maternity leave (Role C) starting in November for a high school life skills caseload (5 students). If you’re a versatile educator with expertise in both behavioral and life skills, you may opt for an extended assignment, moving from Role A to Role C, spanning potentially the remainder of the school year.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Proven experience working with behavioral and/or life skills caseloads in an educational setting
- Strong classroom management and individualized instructional skills
- Flexibility to adapt to students’ diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with other professionals and families to support student growth
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
