Make a real impact in the lives of students by delivering specialized support and guidance as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary and intermediate learners. This contract opportunity involves serving students requiring behavioral and life skills instruction, providing essential coverage for maternity and medical leave periods, with flexible contract end dates based on hiring needs.

There are two full-time roles available immediately. The first focuses on supporting 3rd through 5th graders with behavioral needs in an inclusive, non-self-contained setting, while the second centers on life skills support for kindergarten through 2nd-grade students. If you bring experience in both behavioral and life skills, you may transition to an additional long-term assignment beginning in November, supporting high school students through the end of the school year.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification is required.
• Experience working with behavioral and/or life skills caseloads strongly preferred.
• Background in elementary and/or high school settings is a plus.
• Adaptable instructional approach and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive, positive learning environment.
• Organized, reliable, and collaborative team player.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs.
• Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating with parents and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support students’ behavioral and life skills growth with evidence-based strategies.
• Regularly monitor and communicate student progress.
• Create and maintain structured, supportive classroom spaces.
• Participate in school staff meetings and professional development as needed.
