Two full-time contract opportunities are immediately available, each offering the chance to provide vital services to students while furthering your professional career in Special Education. Start dates are immediate, with assignments extending for maternity or sick leave coverage—potentially through the end of the school year.

Positions Offered:

• Behavioral Special Education (Grades 3-5): Manage a caseload of five students in an intermediate school setting, focusing on behavioral support. This position is not fully self-contained and does not require physically demanding tasks. Previous experience is necessary to help students succeed.
• Life Skills Special Education (Grades K-2): Work with a close-knit group of four elementary-aged students, providing life skills instruction and individualized support. Experience in this area is essential.
• Combined Opportunity: If you have expertise in both behavioral and life skills, there is potential for an extended contract, starting with the intermediate role and transitioning in November to a high school life skills caseload for maternity leave coverage through the school year.

Requirements:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for the state of Texas.
• Previous classroom or small group experience in Special Education, preferably with behavioral and/or life skills caseloads.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to various grade levels and student needs.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff.
• Assess student progress and provide regular updates.
• Utilize positive behavioral interventions and strategies.
