Make an immediate impact as a Special Education teacher, supporting students in a dynamic school community located just outside Rhome, TX. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to cover maternity and sick leave in high-need classrooms. Bring your passion for education to a close-knit team, shaping the academic journey for students in elementary and high school settings.

You will have the chance to take on one of three roles:

• Behavioral caseload with intermediate students (Grades 3-5)
• Life skills caseload with younger learners (K-2)
• Combined role with high school life skills students (starting November; potential for the entire academic year)

Current needs are immediate, with flexible end dates—including roles that may extend until permanent staff are hired or until the school year’s conclusion.

Qualifications:

• Certified Special Education Teacher
• Previous experience with behavioral support or life skills curriculum, depending on the role
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Flexibility to adapt to different age groups and caseloads
• Dedication to fostering growth and independence in each student

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Monitor student progress and maintain documentation
• Create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams
