Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and beautifully plate breakfast and brunch menu items according to standard recipes and speed specifications.
• Manage tickets efficiently and multitask during high-volume peak hours without sacrificing food quality.
• Keep a clean, organized, and sanitary station throughout the shift; follow all food safety guidelines.
• Assist with morning kitchen prep work (chopping, portioning, stocking lines) to ensure the team is set up for success.
• Collaborate positively with front-of-house staff and fellow line cooks to keep ticket times low.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Prior kitchen or short-order cooking experience is highly preferred (but we are willing to train the right person with a great attitude!).
• Availability: Strong morning and weekend availability is required.
• Skills: Exceptional multitasking abilities, a strong work ethic, and the stamina to stand and move quickly for an entire shift.
• Teamwork: A positive, reliable attitude someone who shows up on time and supports their crew.

The founders built a community landmark which has been enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. In April of 2021, the founders sold The Mission restaurants to a multi-concept restaurant group that fell in love with what the founders created. New ownership has retained management and most of its crew and is determined to continue the Mission tradition of doing well while doing good in its communities.
