Job Title: General Production Worker – Mid Shift Job Description

This role supports a modern bio-solutions production facility by performing a variety of hands-on tasks that keep manufacturing lines running safely, efficiently, and cleanly. You will assist machine operators, handle raw materials, follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and document production activities while working in a clean, climate-controlled environment on a unique 7-on/7-off mid-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manually clean machines and production equipment during product changeovers to maintain sanitation and product quality.
• Lift and load bags of raw materials weighing up to 50 pounds into hoppers and other equipment as needed.
• Assist machine operators with running, monitoring, and supporting various production machines.
• Learn and follow proper GMP requirements to ensure a safe and compliant production process.
• Follow chemical safety practices when using sanitation and cleaning chemicals.
• Accurately document production runs, including recording data and completing required paperwork or logs.
• Perform general production and general labor tasks to support continuous operation of the line.
• Support mixing and blending of powders or liquids as part of the production process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with sanitation and safety standards.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in GMP and freezer areas.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of general production experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Experience with general production, machine operation, and machine operating in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge and application of GMP, sanitation practices, and safe chemical handling.
• Experience with mixing and blending of powders or liquids.
• Ability to read and write in English to follow work instructions and complete documentation.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to support machine operation and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience safely handling chemicals used for sanitation in a production or industrial environment.
• Experience with mixing or blending processes involving powders or liquids.
• Familiarity with production documentation and recordkeeping in a GMP environment.
• Comfort working in a moderate-paced, low-key production setting.

Work Environment

This position follows a 7-on/7-off mid-shift schedule: Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The facility is clean, climate controlled, and operates at a moderate pace with a low-key atmosphere and no strong odors. Team members occasionally enter a deep freezer environment at approximately -55 degrees Celsius, using appropriate protective gear. The role requires adherence to full GMP attire, including hair net, beard net (if applicable), smock, steel-toe footwear, gloves, hard hat, and safety glasses. Work involves regular standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working around production machinery in a structured, safety-focused manufacturing setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
