Job Summary
Critical Care Registered Nurse (ICU RN) This position is based in a critical access hospital's Intensive Care Unit. The role involves providing specialized patient care within a 4-bed ICU unit, utilizing telemetry monitoring, ventilators, drips, bipap, arterial lines, and other advanced equipment. The ICU RN will float between units as needed, supporting critically ill adult and geriatric patients.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Education Requirements: Valid license in the state of practice, current Certification in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Location Requirements: Candidates must have a compact license in hand at submission, within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Years of Experience: 0 years required
• Schedule: Nights shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Additional Information: The ICU unit includes interdisciplinary support from physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and a unit secretary. Patient diagnoses include COVID-19, pneumonia, total hip and knee replacements, appendicitis, cholecystectomy, DM, sepsis, pancreatitis, and dementia. The unit features specialized equipment such as central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, ventilators, BIPAP, and more. Travelers may be required to float between nearby sister facilities. Candidates should be prepared to work three of five holidays and must request all scheduling and time off during submittal. Two references covering one year of employment are required, with at least six months for CNAs.
