Medical Director, Global Medical Affairs – Bladder Cancer Location: Raritan, New Jersey, United States Job Overview The Medical Director will serve as a clinical subject matter expert and provide medical and scientific leadership to the cross‑functional Bladder Cancer team. Reporting to the Therapeutic Head, the role is responsible for evidence generation, medical strategy, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Provide Bladder Cancer subject‑matter expertise and represent U.S. medical affairs on cross‑functional teams across the GU Oncology business. Develop scientific narrative, core asset themes, FAQ, platform, MSL material, medical communications and scientific exchange, training, and development. Lead KOL engagement to gather insights, build the scientific narrative, and develop strong collaborations to secure feedback on program strategy. Represent medical affairs in advisory boards, lead data presentations, and facilitate discussions to inform the bladder cancer medical strategy. Establish and foster relationships with medical societies and patient advocacy organizations. Support cross‑functional teams to identify medical barriers and opportunities across the bladder cancer portfolio and implement medical affairs tactics and initiatives. Lead evidence generation processes in collaboration with the therapeutic area team and the global organization. Frequent travel up to 25% of the year (domestic and international). Qualifications PhD, PharmD, or MD required. Background in oncology, specifically bladder cancer, strongly preferred. Minimum five years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent. Experience developing and executing medical launch strategies preferred. Experience developing congress strategies and prioritized KOL engagement preferred. Experience with pharmaceutical trial design and conduct (Phases II‑IV) within industry, CRO, or academia preferred. Experience in leading medical education, medical communication, and medical affairs required. Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills required. Proven track record of developing, presenting, and publishing clinical studies preferred. Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a matrixed, cross‑functional environment required. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $160,000 – $270,000 per year. Eligible for annual performance bonus and long‑term incentive program. Paid time off: up to 120 hours of vacation, up to 40 hours of sick time (56 hours for Washington state), up to 13 days of holiday pay including floating holidays, and up to 40 hours of Work, Personal and Family Time.
