Construction Manager

Posted by RDM Recruiting on behalf of a confidential client RDM Recruiting is partnering with a growing mechanical insulation, firestopping, and heat tracing contractor building out its presence in the Charlotte, NC market. Our client is looking for a hands-on Construction Manager to run day-to-day field operations, manage crews on active jobsites, and ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to spec — while also meeting with clients and helping grow the business. The Role You’ll manage project schedules, budgets, and people across active jobs, working directly with the Precon Manager and General Foremen to keep work moving and profitable. You’ll also be a face of the company, building relationships with GCs, mechanical contractors, and clients, and helping bring in the next job, not just executing the current one. What You’ll Own Day-to-day supervision of active jobsites, including scheduling, manpower planning, and daily production tracking On-site coordination with general contractors, mechanical contractors, and facility owners/reps Jobsite safety compliance and enforcement of company safety standards Quality control across Mechanical, Plumbing, and Heat Tracing scopes Mentoring and developing team members, including foremen and installers Reporting project progress, issues, and schedule risks to the ownership team Supporting punch list, close-out, and quality walk-throughs at project completion Growing the labor pool — recruiting into the regional insulation/mechanical labor market as the company scales What We’re Looking For 5+ years of field supervision experience in commercial construction; mechanical insulation, firestopping, or heat tracing experience highly preferred Proven ability to run multiple crews and jobsites simultaneously Strong working knowledge of code requirements, safety standards (OSHA 30 a plus), and quality control in the mechanical/insulation trades Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred Comfortable in a startup environment, building processes as the company scales College degree or equivalent required; industry certifications (insulation, firestopping, OSHA) a plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel between jobsites throughout the Charlotte region Base salary $85,000–$150,000, based on experience Profit sharing Company vehicle or vehicle stipend PTO Performance-based bonuses on completed projects Health insurance not currently offered but planned as the company grows #J-18808-Ljbffr RDM Recruiting
