Sit Down Forklift Operator
Now hiring for a Sit Down Forklift Operator in Katy, TX. Pay rate is $17.00 per hour for Monday-Friday, 2 PM – 10:30 PM. This opportunity lets you safely transport materials, support inventory movement, and help maintain efficient warehouse and distribution operations. Duties include sweeping and cleaning work areas, removing trash and debris, organizing pallets and materials, ensuring aisles are clear of obstructions, and supporting overall warehouse cleanliness and safety standards. Assists with general facility upkeep and follows all company safety policies and procedures.
Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements: Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials. Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation. Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations. Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Capabilities: Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift. Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required. Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments. Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
