Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Salem, VA
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift: 19:00 - 07:00
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency department setting and be proficient in critical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Manage patient care, including RSI, sepsis interventions, and stroke protocol with tPA administration.
- Perform central line placement and provide care for psychiatric patients.
- Ensure compliance with EMTALA when transferring patients to other facilities.
- Work collaboratively with a team of RNs, medics, and charge nurses for optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- 2-3 years of ER nursing experience in high-acuity settings.
- Completion of at least 2-3 travel assignments.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
- Preferred: ENPC, NRP, NIHSS.
