Job Description

Job Summary:
The CT Tech is responsible for performing advanced computed tomography imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis and patient care. They operate imaging equipment, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with medical staff to deliver high-quality radiologic services.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment to produce accurate diagnostic images.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures.
• Follow all department protocols and safety procedures, including radiation safety.
• Document and report imaging findings and equipment issues to superiors.
• Adhere to patient privacy and confidentiality standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain proficiency with EPIC, Canon/Toshiba, Fuji Synaps, and other relevant imaging systems.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid WV license for radiologic technology.
• ARRT certification in Radiology; CT certification preferred.
• BLS certification from AHA is required.
• Demonstrate experience in performing CT imaging procedures in a hospital or outpatient setting.
• Must be able to start IVs and position patients for scans.
• Ability to work up to 2-week orientations depending on modality, with flexibility for additional training.
