We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our accomplished team at the Law Offices of Chip Forstall. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be an integral part of enhancing our client’s legal journey and achieving successful case resolutions. What you’ll do: Case Management: Manage litigation case files following the pre-litigation handoff, ensuring all files remain organized, current, and prepared for each stage of the litigation process. Calendar Coordination: Manage litigation timelines by scheduling hearings, deadlines, and appointments, minimizing the risk of oversight. Document Preparation: Draft legal documents, correspondence, and memos for attorney review, maintaining accuracy and compliance with court standards. Court Filings: File court documents promptly and accurately, ensuring adherence to all local jurisdiction protocols. Team Support: Collaborate with attorneys and the litigation team to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure a balanced workload. Workflow Organization: Assist in organizing and managing the litigation attorney’s workflow, keeping actions aligned with case priorities and deadlines. Problem Anticipation: Identify potential issues before they arise, proactively suggesting solutions to maintain momentum and avoid delays. What we’re looking for: Litigation Experience: 2–7 years of experience in litigation paralegal roles, with a preference for experience in personal injury or familiarity with Louisiana courts. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organization and detail orientation to manage case files, timelines, and documentation effectively. Technological Proficiency: Comfortable learning proprietary legal software and using legal technology such as case management systems, Supio, Case Status, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency.
