Our properties live by the philosophy that they are an important part of their communities and look for ways to partner in the local community to make a difference.Job Description:The Maintenance Engineer will oversee the functionality and safety of the hotel property, including the physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical system/s, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems and grounds in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations. They will direct general construction and the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems throughout the facility to ensure operational efficiency and safety. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our "ONE TEAM. ONE VISION." philosophy. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidaysMaintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and personMaintain knowledge of fire alarm and evacuation proceduresTest and maintain water content of swimming pool and whirlpool in accordance with company standards and state requirementsMaintain parts and supplies inventoryInspect and maintain elevatorsHave knowledge of OSHA procedures and trainingRepair furniture and structuresMaintain and repair general plumbing systems such as pipelines, toilets, tubs, sinks, whirlpools, pools, and drainsComplete weekly preventative maintenance logs, as well as QA documentationMaintain and test all life safety systemsAssign, verify, and document completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management systemCommunicates with city/county/state officials to ensure the proper maintenance of permits and licenses, to coordinate required inspections and to ensure full compliance with codes, regulations, and safety standardsLeads special projects, as neededAssist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations, providing professional development, and delivering recognition and rewardDiscuss bids with General Manager, and oversee any work contractedDirect and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility, including, but not limited to, physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating/cooling systems, plumbing systems, life safety systems and grounds according to federal, state, and local regulationsInspect and direct general construction, installation, and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems throughout the facility to ensure operational efficiency and safety.Necessary Skills:Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 poundsCan perform work for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment.Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and farMust be comfortable using a step stool or ladderMust be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hoursMust be able to handle heat and stressAble to work in varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, etc.Have finger dexterity for operating equipmentMust speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand EnglishMust be able to writeHave dependable transportation availableHas the highest degree of integrity and is humble, living by the Golden RuleAble to work with people from diverse cultures and backgroundsValues of dedication, innovation, showing respect, being driven by excellence, being community-focused, and having a spirit of service.Vision Hospitality Group is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
