This is a Ryan White Grant position.Job ResponsibilitiesUnder broad supervision, performs administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of the physician on duty. Handles front office duties which include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding for insurance purposes. Assists in the clinic by taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination and drawing blood. May serve as a lead worker.Minimum QualificationsAssociate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with two (2) years experience in a related field; or High School diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience in medical assisting; or Two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Medical Assistant 2 (HCT101) or position equivalent.Additional InformationPerformance Attitudes: Data Utilization: Requires the ability to synthesize, hypothesize, and/or theorize concerning data involving modification of existing policies, strategies, and/or methods to meet unique or unusual conditions.
