Electrical Assembler

Thompson First Group is seeking Electricians for contract-to-hire positions with a local client. Responsibilities Assemble, install, and test electrical and electronic systems, equipment, and components. Install and route conduit, wireways, and cable trays in accordance with NEC code, blueprints, and customer specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions. Perform electrical connections, troubleshooting, adjustments, and repairs to ensure systems meet required specifications. Inspect completed work to verify quality and readiness for testing or final inspection. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area. Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment. Collaborate with team members to effectively plan and complete projects. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced electricians, based on experience level. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality standards and customer requirements. Qualifications Experience in electrical assembly, installation, or industrial/commercial electrical work. Basic to advanced knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical drawings. Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing and measuring equipment. Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safe electrical practices. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable attendance and effective communication skills. High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent experience. Journeyman or Master Electrician license required for advanced-level positions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions. Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Ability and willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Experience Electrical Assembly: 1 year (Preferred) Industrial or Commercial Electrical Experience: 1 year (Preferred) Blueprint Reading: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification Journeyman Electrician License (Preferred) Thompson First Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
