International Freight Operations Supervisor
International Staff Consulting
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced International Operations Supervisor to lead a vital international division at a key West Coast hub. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive operational excellence within a well-established logistics framework. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing performance, boosting profitability, and fostering sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:- Lead and optimize international freight operations to achieve operational excellence.
- Enhance customer service standards and improve accountability measures.
- Negotiate competitive pricing with international carriers and agents.
- Oversee all aspects of Air and Ocean Import & Export activities.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to support the growth of new and existing accounts.
- Engage in customer meetings and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Develop and implement scalable processes to facilitate ongoing expansion.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and international shipping mandates.
- Minimum of 3 years in a managerial role overseeing international freight forwarding operations (Air/Ocean Import & Export).
- Proven leadership experience in managing operations teams.
- Expertise in international rate negotiation.
