Role Description The Mid to Senior Mapper is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, responsible for producing and maintaining high-quality maps and spatial data to support pipeline and energy-related projects. This role involves interpreting survey data, engineering drawings, and legal descriptions to create accurate GIS and CAD mapping products, including alignment sheets, plan and profile drawings, and construction exhibits. The mapper collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and land professionals to ensure that mapping deliverables meet technical standards, client requirements, and project schedules. Daily tasks include updating geospatial databases, performing quality checks on incoming data, and preparing mapping outputs for permitting, construction, and regulatory submissions. The role also supports continuous improvement of mapping standards, workflows, and templates to enhance efficiency and consistency across projects. Qualifications Proficiency in mapping and drafting AutoCAD, Civil 3D to produce and update plats, HDD, Alignment sheets, etc. Experience interpreting survey data, legal descriptions, and engineering plans to create alignment sheets, plan and profile drawings, and construction exhibits for oil and energy projects. Strong skills in spatial data management, including organizing, maintaining, and quality-checking geospatial databases and coordinate systems relevant to pipeline projects. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, survey, land, inspection) and communicate mapping needs, constraints, and deliverable timelines clearly. Demonstrated attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to data accuracy and compliance with company and client standards. Several years of professional experience in mapping, drafting, or GIS roles, preferably within the oil, gas, or energy infrastructure industry. Relevant education such as a degree or technical diploma in GIS, Drafting, Geomatics, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to work 3 days on-site in Houston, TX, and 2 days at home to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr EnSiteUSA
