Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an established professional services leader in the Transit-Rail sector to drive the growth, strategy, and profitability of AECOM’s services in the West Coast of the United States. This position can be located in Seattle, Los Angeles, Orange, Oakland or San Francisco. This individual will be part of the senior leadership team for the West Coast Transportation Business Line reporting directly to the Transportation Regional Business Line Leader and will have full responsibility for strategy, growth, operations, and people management for the Transit-Rail Division. The Division Manager will provide leadership and coaching to staff in various subjects including, but not limited to, account management, business development, capture management, and project delivery. The ideal candidate will be an industry leader with existing relationships at key transit agencies in Washington and California. The Transit-Rail business line at AECOM spans the full suite of services including planning, engineering, design, and program and construction management. With AECOM’s recent Sound Transit Multiple Award Task Order Contract award and transformative project opportunities in Seattle, AECOM continues to be a leader in iconic transit-rail programs on the West Coast. The Transit-Rail Division Manager will need the skills to position, win, and recruit at a fast pace for these major projects, while balancing a focus on delivery, client service, and team leadership. This leader will need to be a self-starter who can build a high-performing team rapidly, demonstrate a successful track record in winning work, and be experienced in running a profitable business. They are also expected to collaborate with AECOM’s other Business Lines and transit delivery teams globally to serve West Coast transit and rail clients. This position is expected to begin immediately.QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree required + 12+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and 4+ years of demonstrated leadership and managing large teams of people with prior Profit & Loss center experience5+ years of experience in business development, capture management, and account management. Ability to build broad and deep internal and external networks, and capable of communicating to inspire and lead others.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSRegistered Civil Engineer in California or WashingtonGraduate degree in engineering, a related field, or MBAAbility to teach and mentor technical staff by demonstrated knowledge of relevant technical skills and toolsTeam-oriented individual with ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to communicate clearly and simply to clients, leadership, and technical staffAbility to balance various responsibilities and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and qualityAdditional InformationAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
