Prep Cook
Prepare fresh ingredients for daily meals, including washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning. Follow recipes and prep lists to keep the kitchen ready for service. Help create scratch-made meals that students, faculty, and staff look forward to enjoying. Keep your workspace clean, organized, and stocked. Follow food safety, sanitation, and allergy awareness standards. Work alongside a supportive culinary team that takes pride in great food. Jump in where needed to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.
Schedule:
- Monday- Friday
- 7:00 A.M.- 3:30 P.M.
- Additional hours may be available for events, with advance notice given.
Transportation:
- Free on-campus parking is available.
- Conveniently located off the South Orange Ave and Peach Tree Hill Rd Bus stop.

Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing. Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members and provide service with a smile. Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes. Clean, restock, and replenish serving lines and stations to ensure our guests enjoy amazing dining experiences. Clean all work areas and customer service areas on an ongoing basis. Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques always (HACCP). Assist in training new culinary Team Members. Endure exposure to extreme temperatures; intense heat and freezing cold. Adapt to additional duties as assigned by management.
Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required. Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail. Ability to properly set up a buffet or serving station. Experience in customer service strongly preferred, but not required. Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction. Proven organization skills. Ability to plan ahead. Basic kitchen and safety knowledge on ware washing.
