Quality Inspector IIThe Quality Inspector II position supports the Production Departments through the inspection of incoming purchased components and the final inspection of finished assemblies and components.ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections of products, materials, and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality standards.Participate in gathering statistical data from products and processes.Perform visual inspections of soldered connections and mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.Conduct visual inspections of soldered assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards, and harness assemblies.Prepare and complete all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items.Identify design, process, or other inefficiencies and report quality concerns and issues.Maintain inspection records.Create and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in accordance with AS9102 standards.Perform customer source inspections.Issue Authorized Release Certificates/Tags.Maintain calibration recall and records.Prepare certifications in accordance with appropriate regulations.Maintain an acceptable attendance record. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary.Comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings as required.Other responsibilities as assigned.Physical RequirementsApproximately 75% sitting and 25% standing/walking indoors.Lift and carry up to 35 lbs.Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side.Perform light lifting from floor, table, and shelf.Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded.Minimal heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling.Minimal exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces.Typing with computer and keyboard.QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or Equivalent.Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field beneficial.Years of Experience: 2 years of experience (aerospace and electronics environments preferred).Skills:Ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision.Apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical issues.Skilled at using measuring equipment as prescribed by job assignment.Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, assembly drawings, parts lists, workmanship standards, standard inspection procedures, wiring diagrams, and ability to add tolerances using decimals.Technical knowledge of Aerospace standards for First Article Inspection Reports, AS9102.Interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches.Read, write, and understand English.Read technical drawings with multiple views.Proficient computer skills.Attention to detail.Critical thinking and problem-solving.Organizational skills.LocationThis position is based in Oro Valley, AZ, a vibrant community known for its stunning desert landscapes and proximity to outdoor recreational activities.
