Compensation: $135k+ (based on relevant experience) + Signing Bonus

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join our corporate real estate practice in our Walnut Creek office. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious attorney to grow their career in a dynamic and rapidly expanding firm.

As an Associate at BERDING|WEIL, you will work directly with clients, have a dedicated Partner who will mentor and support your professional development, and gain the tools you need to build a successful practice. We're looking for a collaborative, adaptable, and driven attorney who thrives in a team environment and is eager to take on increasing responsibilities.

We value attorneys who are excellent communicators, possess a sharp analytical mind, and excel at organizing and prioritizing tasks. Experience in construction defects is a plus, but not required.

What We're Looking For:

• 3-5 years of relevant legal experience (construction defect experience is a plus)
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
• Detail-oriented with a high standard of quality in all tasks
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
• California Bar membership in good standing
• Trial experience is a plus but not required
• Experience with community association law is a bonus
• Comfort with mediation, dispute resolution, and litigation, including depositions and discovery

Schedule:

Position is full-time, exempt. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.

We currently offer a hybrid office/remote schedule.
