We provide:* Competitive compensation and benefits* Work-life flexibility* Recognition and rewards* Development and career opportunities* A safe and inclusive workplace**Why You Will Love this Job****Job Purpose** To produce mechanical engineering design packages, providing input and support at all stages of a project from sales through to installation. **Responsibilities.*** Translate and develop conceptual designs into designs to meet the functional and contractual specifications of secured orders drawing out specifications, calculations and component selection.* Support and assist in the sales stage of a project by taking responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided to meet the timescales and quality standards required for presentation to the customer/potential customer.* Liaise with Electrical Design Engineer in identifying the project requirements and on the development of the detailed design.* Liaise with CAD draughtsman, coordinating and leading activity in order to ensure that the design packages are produced to the required timescales and standards of quality.* Liaise with Architect & Structural designer in identifying the project requirements and on the development of the detailed design.* Provide support to the Project Manager during the installation commissioning and testing phase of the project, ensuring the timely production of all necessary documentation.* Conduct site surveys where required.* Liaise as necessary with existing and potential customers and their representatives.* Participate, and where appropriate lead, HAZOP and risk assessment studies.* Ensure that there is full adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management policies and procedures in all work undertaken. ## **Technical Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills*** Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering design software.* Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.* Understanding of engineering design processes and project management principles.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.* Effective planning, prioritisation, and workload management capabilities. ## **Personal Attributes*** Professional, trustworthy, and dependable.* Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.* Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building and communication skills.* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.* Accountable, organised, and committed to continuous improvement.* Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to respond positively to changing priorities.* Resilient and effective under pressure, with sound judgment and balanced decision-making skills.**About Us**Clarke proudly offers a rich history steeped in creativity and commitment to our associates and communities, along with competitive benefits and compensation.
