Charge Nurse

Schedule: 8am-4pm 5 days a week. Rotating weekends required. We are seeking a caring and dedicated Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to be a Charge Nurse in our rapidly growing team at our skilled nursing facility in West Babylon! Responsibilities Maintain accurate resident records and monitor vital signs and changes in condition. Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care. Coordinate daily nursing operations, including assigning duties and overseeing care delivery. Oversee resident admissions, transfers, and discharges. Communicate resident status and clinical concerns to the Unit Manager. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff while fostering a collaborative work environment. Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and facility leadership. Ensure nursing staff follow established protocols and care plans. Maintain compliance with applicable federal and New York State healthcare regulations. Complete required documentation, reports, and other administrative duties. Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition. Qualifications Current New York State RN or LPN license. Previous long-term care (LTC) experience required. Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills. Knowledge of federal and New York State healthcare regulations. Experience with care plans and clinical documentation. Current BLS certification.
