- Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients employing established evaluation techniques and observational insights.
- Create tailored treatment plans focused on specific short- and long-term goals addressing communication, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy targeted at improving communication abilities, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functionality.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to design unified care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress outside the clinical setting.
- Participate in occasional evaluations and interventions for inpatient speech therapy, ensuring smooth continuity of care throughout the recovery process.
- Maintain meticulous documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Engage in continuous professional development and peer collaborations to stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- BLS certification is required within 30 days upon joining.
- Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups with a thorough understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to tailor therapy methods to accommodate varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment paired with problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and compliance with documentation standards.
