Description

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients employing established evaluation techniques and observational insights.
• Create tailored treatment plans focused on specific short- and long-term goals addressing communication, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy targeted at improving communication abilities, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functionality.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to design unified care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress outside the clinical setting.
• Participate in occasional evaluations and interventions for inpatient speech therapy, ensuring smooth continuity of care throughout the recovery process.
• Maintain meticulous documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional development and peer collaborations to stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• BLS certification is required within 30 days upon joining.
