Description
  • Conduct assessments for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
  • Formulate tailored treatment protocols to address immediate objectives and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
  • Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caretakers to establish comprehensive care pathways.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress outside of clinic visits.
  • Contribute to inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when needed, ensuring uninterrupted care throughout the recovery process.
  • Document patient progress accurately and efficiently in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and peer collaboration to stay abreast of industry advancements.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those awaiting ASHA certification.
Certifications
  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days post-hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment strategies across all age groups, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to foster connections with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
