Job Description

Packaging Associate |Columbus, Ohio| Now Hiring

Compensation:

• Starting pay rate of $17.49 per hour

• Shift differential $1.00 for 3rd shift

• Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases

• Eligible for monthly bonus based upon plant productivity*

Available Shift: 3rd - Sunday-Thursday, 11:50PM-8AM

Packaging Associate (Packer)

Summary:

Safely and effectively packs finished goods and prepares product for shipment.

Responsibilities:

• • Provides support for the operations team by working safely to feed material into machines, inspect product for defects, and pack finished goods in the correct configuration.

• • Performs quality checks and ensures correct counts on various product sizes and packs items into the appropriate packaging.

• • Makes minor machine adjustments to minimize interruptions and ensure quality product.

• • Replaces adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery.

• • Ensures that any finished goods or work-in-progress identification labels are present and properly placed.

• • Stacks finished product in the correct configuration, ready for transportation.

• • Ensures good housekeeping and maintains a safe, clean, and tidy work area.

• • Promptly informs supervisor of any issues concerning health and safety, hygiene, quality, or efficiencies.

• • Follows all company-established rules, policies, and safety regulations.

• • Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Education and/or Experience:

• • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

• • Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team is essential.

• • Ability to follow standard work instructions is required.
