What You'll Do As a Health Unit Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring efficient day-to-day unit operations by supporting nursing staff and facilitating seamless communication between patients, providers and internal teams. Responsibilities include accurately processing, transcribing, and distributing physician orders; maintaining and updating patient records, including admissions, transfers, and discharges; serving as a communication hub between providers, nurses, patients, and external contacts; supporting daily administrative operations including answering phones, faxing, filing, and coordinating documentation; helping ensure timely, organized workflows that support quality patient care; maintaining strict confidentiality and upholding hospital policies and compliance standards.

What We're Looking For We're seeking a highly organized professional who can multitask effectively while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor. Qualifications include 2+ years of experience in a hospital, healthcare, or clinical environment preferred; knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred; previous administrative, clerical, receptionist, or healthcare support experience required; excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills; ability to stay calm, focused, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment; and a team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to patient support and operational excellence.
