Pain Management Physician State College, PA Central Pennsylvania Äî Home of Penn State University Position Details Full-time, permanent employed position (W2) Setting: Outpatient interventional pain management Join an employed group of 11 physicians and 20+ CRNAs providing coverage at a 260-bed acute care facility Visa sponsorship not available (no J-1 or H-1B) Not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Practice OverviewSeeking a BC Pain Management Physician with fellowship training to join a well-established, multidisciplinary pain management program in one of Pennsylvania's most vibrant college towns: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations Provide evidence-informed medical and interventional pain management based on appropriate clinical indication Utilize fluoroscopy and ultrasound to perform most interventions Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory studies Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and facilitate referrals as needed Participate in collaborative, multidisciplinary interventional pain management care Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards Additional duties as needed including teaching, research, educational presentations, and administrative tasks University-affiliated medical school and residency training preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation and benefits package Sign-on bonus: $40,000 over 3 years 9 weeks PTO 1 week CME time off $3,500 annual CME allowance Full benefits package Äî details provided upon inquiry Required Qualifications MD or DO Äî ABA Board Certified in Pain Medicine Äî required Pain fellowship training Äî required Active Pennsylvania medical license or willingness to obtain Current DEA registration Äî required Clean licensure history Äî no past challenges, suspensions, or revocations Hospital privileges never revoked No past convictions for fraud, narcotics, or felony offenses University-affiliated medical school and residency training Äî preferred About the Community Äì State College, Pennsylvania Vibrant college town and home to Penn State University Äî one of the nation's largest educational institutions Diverse culture with excellent public and private schools Countless options for dining, theatre, NCAA sports, nightlife, shopping, and outdoor recreation Short commutes and safe, friendly community ideal for raising a family University Park Airport just 5 miles from town Easy access to Interstates 80 and 99
