Portfolio Analyst

Portfolio Analyst role with leading middle-market private equity firm. The role will support investment evaluation, portfolio analysis, automation initiatives, and the development of data-driven tools that improve decision-making across the business. Key Responsibilities Support investment analysis and portfolio evaluation using data-driven methodologies Assist in building and maintaining analytical pipelines, databases, and reporting infrastructure Develop dashboards and visualisation tools to support investment and operational decision-making Analyse market, company, and third-party datasets using quantitative techniques Help automate internal workflows and repetitive analytical processes Participate in the implementation and testing of new technology and AI-enabled tools Prepare presentations, reports, and analytical materials for internal stakeholders Contribute to the firm’s broader data, technology, and AI initiatives Candidate Profile Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline 2+ years’ experience in areas such as: Investment Banking Private Equity Analytics Data Engineering Software Engineering Consulting or Transaction Analytics Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with excellent attention to detail Experience with programming languages/tools such as Python, SQL, R, Java, or Typescript Interest in AI, automation, data modelling, and visualisation technologies Interest in financial markets, M&A, and investing Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment A rare opportunity to join a high performing investment platform where analytics, technology, and AI are becoming increasingly central to investment strategy and operational value creation.
