About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its nonprofit organization, which is dedicated to serving, strengthening, and growing the Ultimate community. The successful candidate will be the external face of the organization, working closely with the Board, the Ultimate community, and the broader Bay Area community to secure and allocate resources necessary for the organization's health and programmatic impact. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic, financial, and operational aspects of the organization, including staff management, fundraising, operations, donor cultivation, and community engagement. The Executive Director will be responsible for the execution of the organization's strategic priorities and the fulfillment of its core commitments, with a strong focus on DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) work. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a proven track record in leading a nonprofit organization, with experience in financial management, budget forecasting, and a commitment to DEIB. The role requires a visionary storyteller with excellent communication skills, adept at fundraising and development, including high net worth individual donor cultivation, corporate partnerships, and grant writing. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, poised leader, capable of navigating complex challenges and managing a team of full-time staff, part-time staff, and volunteers. A results-driven, resourceful, and creative approach to problem-solving is essential, as is the ability to build and execute long-term strategies for the organization's needs and goals.
