Staff Accountant

Job Description Laskey Costello is seeking a skilled and motivated Staff Accountant to join our public accounting team in Lakewood, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys delivering high-quality client service, supporting a broad range of tax and accounting engagements, and contributing to a collaborative, family-oriented firm. Working closely with a partner or senior staff, the Staff Accountant will play an integral role in financial statement preparation, monthly bookkeeping, and the preparation of individual, partnership, and corporate income tax returns, along with other client service responsibilities as needed. Responsibilities & Duties Federal, state, and local tax return preparation for individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and corporations Conduct research and document findings to support client’s position Provide timely, high-quality client service that exceeds client expectations Anticipate and address client concerns and elevate issues as they arise; identify performance improvement opportunities Manage clients accounting needs (bookkeeping, tax compliance, financial statement preparation) ensuring all deadlines are met Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Preferred) 2-3 years’ experience in tax preparation or related field CPA/EA (Preferred) Experience with UltraTax/Accountants World/QuickBooks/TaxDome a plus Benefits SIMPLE IRA, SIMPLE IRA matching Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance #J-18808-Ljbffr
