Key Responsibilities- Analyze customer utility rates and determine whether more advantageous rate options are available.
- Calculate potential energy savings using Excel-based models and utility data.
- Provide recommendations and interpretive guidance related to rate optimization and energy cost reduction.
- Generate true-up reports for existing audits and support utility audit processes.
- Benchmark similar clients to identify abnormalities, trends, or irregularities in usage data.
- Assist with third-party rate optimization, bill audit calculations, Utility User Tax opportunities, tariff review, and audit model development. Compensation and Benefits

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Analyze utility rates, energy usage data, tariffs, and customer billing information to identify savings opportunities.- Build and use Excel models to calculate potential savings, rate comparisons, and audit findings.
- Support utility audit activity, true-up reporting, rate optimization, and bill audit calculations.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and follow-up items clearly with internal teams and utility contacts. - Four-year degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of practical, hands-on experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Ability to research, interpret, and analyze complex utility, rate, billing, and usage information.
- Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to process information logically and accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a habit of reviewing and validating work.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with SQL, Salesforce, and Microsoft Access.
- Experience with utility tariffs, Community Choice Aggregation rates, utility audits, bill audits, or energy rate optimization.
- Experience identifying overpayment, exemption, or Utility User Tax opportunities.
- Exposure to energy management, utilities, sustainability, or commercial energy cost reduction programs.
