This role is located in Melbourne, FL. In this role, you will support the Systems Engineering Integration (SEI) Integrated Product Team (IPT).Key Responsibilities:Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis to support program development, execution, and related research and development projectsDevelop mission relevant scenarios; assesses operational effectiveness of existing and/or emerging systems and capabilities in representative operational environmentsDevelop new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, weapon systems components to include air vehicle platform, kinematics, sensors, communications, command & control, weapons, and threat performance models and algorithms. Senior Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor of science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline with 8 years of related experience OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of related experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related experienceYour ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.Must have experience with operations analysis and/or virtual simulation tools (e.g. AFSIM, Brawler, NGTS, MATLAB)Preferred Qualifications:Experience with MBSE modeling products (e.g. Cameo)Experience with STK and/or FORTRANExperience collaborating on projects with multiple teams and managing relationships through effective communication.Advanced degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer ScienceExperience in weapon system level design, integration, test and evaluationAn understanding of Integrated Air Defense Systems and capabilitiesThe ability to translate Physics/Mathematics models into real-time simulation algorithms and modelsExperience with real time simulation/software developmentExperience working within an Agile workflow using Atlassian Suite products (i.e. Jira, BitBucket)Familiarity with Digital Engineering processesAbility to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesActive Top Secret Clearance#AS-FA3Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
