This position is located onsite in Melbourne, Florida.The Mission Management Equipment Engineer in this role must possess in-depth knowledge of computers and electronics for mission processing and data storage and experience in the definition, design, integration, test, and certification of related hardware and software requirements and will be responsible for one or more of the following:Interpret, allocate, tailor, write and flow down requirements to all levels of a system architecture Design and develop data storage solutions, perform hardware integration and testing, and requirements analysisPerform analyses and estimate performance of components, subsystems and systems in accordance with governmental and commercial standards.Trade studies, documenting subsystem architectures, analyzing performance, and evaluating Technology Readiness Level (TRL) with regard to supplier current and future products offeringsDocument designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specificationsCollaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate mission management subsystems to meet platform mission objectivesTechnical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test supportDeveloping supplier documentation, performance based specifications, and statements of workBuilding supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selectionReview documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviewsA successful Mission Management Equipment Engineer has good leadership skills and understands the scope of the work and the impact of the work on other teams, consistently brings up concerns, issues and risks to program and technical leadership and holds the team to a high level of technical rigor.Basic Qualifications:Principal Mission Management Equipment Engineer:Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.Must have experience with integration of COTS electronics into military systemsMust have experience with system modeling and requirements management tools (Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.), developing/maturing requirements, and tracing requirements through various levelsAt minimum, an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance Secret is required to apply and to start the role, with the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needsSr. Principal Mission Management Equipment Engineer:Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
