Local Marketing Specialist - House of Sport

Job Duties & Responsibilities Develop and foster strong community relationships that promote House of Sport brand pillars – assortment, experience, service, and community. Support local partners through sponsorships that drive full‑funnel value via awareness, engagement, traffic, and sales. Manage and track all sponsorship agreements and asset distribution using the company software program. Ensure proper execution of sponsorship deliverables with leagues, teams, and organizations to maximize ROI. Develop one‑of‑a‑kind strategies for in‑store events and in‑market activations that align with key brand moments. Accountable for managing the annual budget and related expenses. Develop and activate local marketing outreach strategies to drive incremental awareness and acquisition. Provide consistent marketing intelligence to drive strategies while serving as the marketing representative on the Store Leadership team. Work closely with the ASM of Experiences to develop marketing support that drives awareness, engagement, and Experience KPIs. Support creation of event activation assets for store placements and the Gametime scheduling platform. Manage and monitor customer outreach via the reservations scheduling tool inbox. Execute all House of Sport marketing activities, vendor events, and related initiatives. Act as a cross‑functional liaison between House of Sport, CSC, and external partners to ensure best‑in‑class execution from concept to conclusion. Generate and lead the planning of unique local events hosted at HOS, including all aspects of the event lifecycle from concept to post‑event analysis. Capture content from owned events for use on national social handles and other O&O channels. Evaluate events qualitatively and quantitatively, report learnings, and suggest enhanced success measures. Serve as the local representative for The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation, community giving, and charitable programs. Manage the local grant program to impact the HOS community through equipment donations, grants, and other programming. Leverage and fulfill Dick’s Sporting Goods donation requests from the local community. Manage, track, and forecast the local marketing budget for the designated HOS location, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and ROI. Deliver excellence and professionalism across all efforts and maintain seamless communication and collaboration across teams. Develop relationships with vendors, sales reps, and service organizations that do business with the company. Serve as an approved media‑trained associate capable of communicating with media as directed by CSC. Availability to work some weekends and key retail holidays such as Black Friday is required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or four‑year college degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or Communications. 1–3 years of related experience as a regional or company marketer, brand ambassador, or professional in a retail environment. Valid driver’s license. Successfully pass comprehensive criminal background and motor vehicle checks. Excellent interpersonal, team‑building, and communication skills. Ability to multi‑task and work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Flexible availability in the work schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
