Inventory Control Specialist

Inventory Control SpecialistSimon & Schuster is currently seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our Distribution Center in Jackson, TN. This position will managing inventory and conducting audits of shipping labels among other duties.DUTIES:Monitor inventory levels and accuracy in WMAudit waving shorts and reconcile any discrepancies in split case area and reserve pallet racksResearch short ships from waving and shorts on the floorCycle Count as neededReview Transitional Inventory report and cycle count transitional inventory to reconcilePerform Put away/Empty verificationsWork with all warehouse departments and Inventory Control to resolve all inventory variancesOperate Order Selector as neededOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Strong analytical and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a warehouse environmentProficient in WM, UOPSProficient with RFExperience with Microsoft Office programs preferredHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.Able to lift 50 lbs.Able to stand for up to 8 hours/day.Able to follow all safety policies and procedures.Able to effectively communicate when neededOvertime as needed (both voluntary and mandatory)Location: Jackson, TNHours: 1st Shift - 7:30am-4:00pmSimon & Schuster US is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) including disability/vet.
