Job Opportunity – Progressive Care / Stepdown RN – Georgia

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling determined by facility needs; every other weekend required; 4:1 patient ratio across all shifts; no call required; floating within facility and scope of practice as needed

Highlights:

• Progressive Care/Stepdown unit with 28-bed capacity serving adult and geriatric populations
• Epic charting system with remote telemetry monitoring capabilities
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
• Full scope PCU experience including cardiac drip titration, vasoactive drip management, and complex medical-surgical cases
• Unit welcomes first-time travelers with minimum 1 year of experience
• Maximum 7 days time off allowed per contract; all requests must be finalized at submission

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or stepdown nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 4-5:1 patient ratios
• Community hospital and trauma center experience preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, chest tube management, and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Full compliance documentation due Tuesday prior to start date; incomplete compliance will result in 2-week delay

• Orientation is 12 hours non-billable, completed during first week
• No schedule requests can be accommodated after offer acceptance
