Product & Service Quality Manager - T-7Company:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a First Line Product & Service Quality Manager to support the T-7 Quality team at Edwards Air Force Base, CA!This role supervises, leads, and coaches a multi-disciplined team of Quality Operations personnel (CBU) employees in the oversight of product and process integrity on the Flight Ramp. Effectively interfaces and communicates with employees, peers, production operations, integrated product teams, and external customers (DCMA) to ensure products, services and processes comply with engineering / contractual requirements, company procedures, and government regulations.Position Responsibilities:Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations. Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance. Provides education and coaching on the Quality System. May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies. Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports. Manages, develops and motivates employees.This position will manage employees responsible for:Aircraft flight releases open item reconciliation and US red X sign off authorityInitiates, prepares, and maintains aircraft logbooks per requirementsTracks Inspections and Life Limited parts in accordance with applicable service guidancePrepares aircraft inventory records, reviews technical directives and initiates appropriate action to ensure all required changes, inspections have been accomplished and documentedEnsures appropriate aircraft and technical directive records are maintainedMaintains a log of aircraft and engine flight hours and landingsEnters flight discrepancies into Aircraft Flight Reporting System (AFRS)Performs Engine Accounting functions per requirementsMaintains CAD/PAD records per government requirementsDemonstrates knowledge of technical orders and technical publicationsMaintains aircraft build records in accordance with Records & Information Management requirementReviews / writes internal company processes (BPI’s) and recommends process improvementsBoeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
