Field Purchasing Manager

Role Description

The Field Purchasing Manager is responsible for coordinating with site teams to ensure they have the proper personnel to perform site related procurement activities. This role involves:

• Following, developing, improving, and maintaining processes and systems utilized by the company for site procurement tasks.
• Acting as a liaison between procurement team, internal customers, and accounting team to ensure materials are received and invoices are paid timely.
• Supporting annual and quarterly planning activities.
• Collaborating across the organization and actively supporting the company’s values and beliefs.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• Five+ years experience in purchasing or procurement, related to the construction industry.
• Previous experience with supply chain and inventory management.
• Experience leading and managing others.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of construction contract development, negotiation, and deployment.
• Strong computer skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge and ability to teach others use of procurement software systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Ability to interpret, follow, and explain a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Skilled in analyzing data and developing metrics for informed decision-making.
